We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller with expertise in programming and operating machines equipped with Heidenhain controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. Responsibilities:
- CNC Programming: Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Heidenhain controls based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions;
- Machine Setup: Set up CNC milling machines, including tool selection, workpiece clamping, and fixture installation, ensuring all parameters are in accordance with the job specifications;
- Tool Management: Select, load, and maintain cutting tools, ensuring tool changes are performed efficiently to minimize machine downtime;
- Quality Assurance: Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify the quality and accuracy of machined parts;
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining issues, tool wear, and program errors to maintain optimal machine performance and part quality;
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling changes, and production reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining is preferred;
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls;
- Proficiency in CNC programming, G-code, and M-code;
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and cutting parameters;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models;
- Knowledge of spoken English;
- B-category driving licence (car provided).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials and tools.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise machine operation and tool handling.
